ABSTRACT
In the context of Romanian reform on early education, in 2010 was elaborated the Evaluation tool for child development at the end of preschool education (IEDC). The objective of IEDC is to design the individual profile of development for each child at the moment of transition from kindergarten to school, in the context of global and integrated perspective. IEDC was not conceived as a tool which condition the school beginning of child in the 1st grade, but as a reference system for designing and developing the future educational paths, for the teachers and also for the parents.

ABSTRACT
The paperwork presents a few essential issues regarding the professional development stage of today’s foreign language teachers, in the context of a society more and more concerned about the intercultural dialogue and about how to ensure a linguistic education in consonance with the most recent initiatives at the European level. The article offers some pieces of information concerning the organization of foreign language teaching in the schools of EU’s member states and formulates recommendations in terms of reforming the initial and in-service training routes addressed to the foreign language teachers within the Romanian primary and preschool education, an essential change for the successful creation and implementation of a new pattern for the professionalization of these specialists.

ABSTRACT
"School readiness" is a multidimensional concept, one of it`s dimensions on which we are focussing in this paper being school preparation. School preparation is a process that reffers to the forming and development of children`s general and specific abilities and skills, expected for the chronological age of 6/7. Because of the child`s varied socioeconomical and cultural environment, this process needs to take place in the preschool institution. There are some necessary prerequisites for successful school adjustment, which we are presenting in the following.

In order to realize a full evaluation of child`s abilities, the level of school readiness being one of these, it was developed a complex instrument which we mention in the paper, entitled Development Evaluation Platform – form A, and we are recommending it to all adults concerned.

Keywords: school readiness, school preparation, prerequisites.

ABSTRACT
Keeping in mind the significant influence that the emotional skills have over the entire development of the child and, also, of the later adult, the learning and the development of these skills must be systematically pursuit by all the significant adults in the child's life. This means that, apart from the playing opportunities that we offer the child, during kindergarten the teachers must also create specific activities in which they would have the opportunity to actually guide the children's behavior.
This article offers only some suggestions of such activities, which can be adjusted or improved, given every teacher's creativity. Also, we mustn't lose sight of the fact that the development of emotional skills represents only a part of the child's development. We must give equal attention to the social and cognitive skills and they, too, have to be taught through structured activities that are designed specifically for each skill.
