ABSTRACT
Due to the modern education’s needs, new requirements have been imposed on teachers. These requirements are related, among other things, to a great arsenal of professional knowledge and to the change in the roles teachers have. According to that change, teachers are increasingly becoming more and more an active presence. All the changes enter in the modern school through various aspects, ranging from the preparation of teachers to continuing professional development and their methodical work. The presence of highly qualified and experienced staff has been consistently linked to high quality self development/personal growth.

Methodical activity is based on development, improvement and modernization of educational process. Methodical activity is a series of open activities and it includes the best teachers’ demonstrative activities, "round tables", trainings, information methodical seminars, workshops, exhibitions of works, making and publication of scientific and practical research monographs, scientific works, publication of articles and text books aimed at improving the previous skills and developing new skills of teachers. All of these are significant for the professional improvement of the staff and must improve the quality of educational process.

Scientific and methodical work in school is directed on improvement of professional and pedagogical competence, methodical activity of teachers. The challenges teacher educators are now facing are of a different nature from those of the past few decades. Professional development of teachers is no longer restricted to their classroom practice. They are increasingly involved in school organisation and professional communication. Teachers assume a wide range of roles to support school and pupil success: the role of the action researcher and reflexive practitian, that is to say, the role of an expert who will use research techniques in order to examine his/her practice and to analize it with the purpose of its improvement. We need to rally together to examine our practice, renew our programs accordingly, collaborate with others, and offer examples of programs that do make a difference.

In order to increase knowledge regarding methodical activity, new approaches have to be designed. Planning of methodical work is carried out taking into account accomplishment of a common methodical problem. The activities must be designed to allow a durable collaboration between teachers, school organisations and specialists in education.
The condition monitoring of methodical activity of school covers its main directions, necessary conditions and its manager.
The monitoring aim is the determination of system effectiveness of scientific and methodical activity in pre primary school organisation.

  • conditions of professional development and self education of teachers;
  • forms and methods used in improvement of pedagogical skill, development of creative initiative;
  • technologies of methodical work: collective and individual forms, analysis of pedagogical activity, organization of scientific and methodical activity, perspective pedagogical experience;
  • organization of methodical work: thematic planning, work on the common school methodical problem, efficiency of methodical work on ensuring development of creativity of teachers, material and technical supplying;
